Traditional Games for Bridal Showers
Traditional Games for Bridal Showers: Although you may have seen these before, there’s a good reason they’re so well-liked: they’re entertaining!
A wedding dress made of toilet paper
- The group should be divided into two or more teams of at least three individuals each. Each team selects a “bride” from a roll of toilet paper that has been provided to them.
- Give the teams 15 minutes to use toilet paper to outfit their “bride” in a bridal gown. Vote for the funniest and best wedding outfits at the conclusion of the time given.
Shirt-spin Exercise:
- Pick a popular keyword, such “bride,” “groom,” or “wedding,” to start with. Give a clothespin to each participant as they enter the gathering.
- After then, whoever hears someone else using the buzzword gets to take that person’s clothespin. At the conclusion of the party, whoever has the most clothespins wins.
- Two Facts, One Lies: Everyone introduces themselves and shares three facts about themselves, two of which are true and one of which is a falsehood.
- The audience then indicates, in writing or by shouting, which one they believe to be a falsehood.
I, Who Am:
- Couples that your visitors are probably familiar with. Make a list of famous Romans before the party, including Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyne, or choose from real or imaginary characters like Fred and Wilma Flintstone (Antony and Cleopatra).
- As each guest arrives, place a name tag on their back (without revealing them) that has their name listed separately.
- They are tasked with going around the gathering and asking everyone about their “secret identity” in a yes-or-no format. “Am I a fictional character?” is one example.
- Are you a man? They must next locate their “better half.” Once everyone has discovered their mate, the game is over. The first couple to do so gets a prize.
Games to Get to Know the Bride
How well-versed on the bride are you really? You’ll be put to the test by these bridal shower games and learn stuff you didn’t know.
Wedding Bingo
- Bingo cards should be filled with the bride’s preferences. They might be somewhere she’s been or her favorite color.
- Each card should be somewhat unique, similar to traditional bingo, but share some spaces with the others.
- Then, list each thing on a different scrap of paper. The papers should be folded, mixed, and placed in a bowl or bag.
- Once all the papers have been chosen, the guest of honor should read each one aloud to the group.
- A guest is entitled to mark off a square when it corresponds to what was spoken. You might also stuff a bag with little presents she’ll love, like a bottle of nail polish or a subscription to her preferred publication.
- Tell the bride occasionally to select a present rather than a piece of paper. Make sure the cards for these gifts have them as well so that guests may participate.
- Make sure you have door prizes available as well for the first person to get five straight and call “Bingo!”
Bride-to-Be Facts:
- Asking the guest of honor to leave the room while remaining just out of sight but within hearing range, begin the game.
- Before moving on to more challenging inquiries like how the bride and husband met or her favorite animal, ask visitors about her outfit, her hairstyle, etc.
- The winner is the first individual to yell out the most accurate responses.
How well-versed in the groom is the bride:
- Ask the groom some personal questions prior to the shower, and take careful note of his responses.
- Ask the bride to guess his words during the bridal shower. She receives a prize if the answers are correct.
- If the responses don’t match, the winner is the first person to yell out the right response.
- Examples of inquiries are: What is his preferred colour? favourite group? What do you like to do on the weekends? dream getaway? Where was their initial meeting?
- Find images of the bride at various ages to find out her age. Give each visitor a sheet of paper and pin them on a board.
- They can determine her age in each image as they mix and consume. The person with the most accurate responses should receive a prize.
