A look back on successful year
Our success in 2020 was primarily made possible by our $12 million funding from K1 Investment Management, which we announced in May. We vowed to use this push to enlist key staff members, increase awareness and demand, and ensure that accessiBe is the most comprehensive, efficient, and effortless web accessibility experience in the market.
- Completing our Series A funding round with K1 for $28 million confirms that we could stick to our word and then some. In the past 12 months, we grew by more than 350%, increased our employees, and exceeded the milestone of 100,000 websites made accessible using accessiBe.
- We introduced accessiBe 3.0 with our brand-new Accessibility Profiles, accessibility mashups for different disabilities, last year. It is a groundbreaking feature for online accessibility that substantially enhances the user experience for individuals with disabilities.
- Also, we introduced our Strategic Partnerships Program, which provides quick and straightforward onboarding for partners in extensive engagement.
- Also, we had the pleasure of welcoming Michael Hingson as our Chief Vision Officer to the group. Mike is the first blind person on our leadership team.
- This inspirational figure escaped the World Trade Center with his guide dog. A best-selling author, and has contributed to introducing numerous assistive technologies. However, he brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our product.
- With our expanded investment in 2021, we intend to dramatically extend our US presence. Expand our R&D team and initiatives. And raise awareness of the value of web accessibility and the needs of people with disabilities.
Awareness and education
- Making the entire Internet accessible has been accessiBe’s goal since the company’s founding. We have come a long way towards that objective thanks to all we do. Everyone we recruit, and all the support we have received.
- We are dedicated to raising public awareness of the issue and informing people about the significance of web accessibility. Since the web is inaccessible and it is up to society to modify things so everyone can access it.
- This has always been our main task and endeavor. It extends beyond coding and has to be recognizing as a crucial aspect of society, industry, and community.
